Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Classes
Exercise is a key component in the successful management of Type II Diabetes.
We offer Diabetes Group sessions that focus on exercise to help manage long-term blood glucose control and reduce health-related complications often associated with the condition. Alongside the exercise instruction we help clients understand the ideal type, duration and intensity of exercise to allow them control and independence in managing the condition long term.
We also provide education regarding the immediate and longer-term effects of exercise on blood glucose levels, diet and medication use. After participating in our eight week Diabetes group classes we are then able to develop an individual home or gym program, or transition clients over to our group fitness classes to help them with ongoing exercise.
